According to a report from Page Six, the embattled actor, Kevin Spacey, read a poem at an Italian museum in what was his first performance since he was hit with sexual assault charges which were subsequently dropped after the complainant in the case refused to participate.
Standing beside the bronze statue, “Boxer at rest,” while at the Palazzo Massimo Alle Term in Rome, the star read “The Boxer,” written by Gabriele Tinti for approximately 150 people and for eight minutes.
Page Six claims the poem appeared to reflect the Academy Award winner’s own precipitous downfall after he was accused of sexual misconduct by multiple different people.
Reportedly, the actor is now gearing up to launch a comeback in the acting world. While on stage, he wore a maroon-tinged brown suit and tie and imitated the actions of a boxer while reading the poem on stage. CNN claims the performance was inspired by the poet’s fascination with ancient statues.

Tinti was reported as saying that the poem was particularly sensitive for Mr. Spacey, and she requested him specifically to write it. The Daily Beast reports that only around 4 journalists were invited to the reading, along with a few other people.
With all that said, Kevin’s battle with authorities over sexual assault charges isn’t over yet, as he’s currently facing off against another trial in the United Kingdom. Recently, Kevin’s Nantucket charges were dropped and the actor walked away from the case scot-free.
It was the allegations from Anthony Rapp that first began the cascade of accusations against the actor. Near the ending of 2017, Rapp came out and accused Kevin of sexual assault, stating that Kevin tried to sleep with him when he was just 14-years-old. Kevin was 26 at the time.

On the 30th of October, 2017, Kevin addressed the allegations on his social media, stating that while he doesn’t remember the incident in question, it was likely the consequence of “drunken” and “deeply inappropriate” behavior. After the media spectacle, Kevin was fired from his role on Netflix’s House Of Cards, and he also lost his position at the Old Vic Theatre.
